Terms of service
What you may do here, what we owe you, and what happens when either of us stops.

1. What OpenTokn is
OpenTokn is a router. We do not train or run the models ourselves: we forward your request to a third-party host that serves the model you picked, return their answer, and bill you for it. The catalogue lists which hosts serve what, and the price you see is the price you pay, ours included.
Because a host stands between us and the answer, the quality, availability and behaviour of a model are theirs, not ours. We are responsible for routing, for billing you correctly, and for saying plainly which host served a call. Your spend log names it on every line.
2. Your account
You sign in with an email link or by signing a message with an Ethereum wallet. One person, one account. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including calls made by an agent you gave a key to.
A handle is permanent once claimed. It is a payment address: referral links point at it, so letting it change or be reclaimed would redirect somebody else's money. Deleting your account does not free it.
3. Tokens
Tokens are prepaid credit for inference on this platform, at a fixed rate of 1 USD = 1,000,000 tokens. They are not a deposit, not electronic money, and not an investment. They earn no interest, they are not transferable between accounts, and they do not expire.
A request that your balance cannot cover is refused before it starts, so you can never owe us money. We reserve the worst case before a call and release the difference after it, which is why a reservation can briefly exceed what a call ends up costing.
4. Limits
| Limit | Value | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Rate | 60 requests per minute, per key | 429, with Retry-After |
| Balance | What you have paid in | 402, before the call starts |
| Key cap | What you set on that key | 402 |
| Context | The model's window | 400 |
We may change these limits. If a change lowers what you can do, we will say so before it applies.
5. What you must not do
- Use the platform for anything unlawful, or to produce material that sexually exploits children, incites violence, or targets a person for harassment.
- Work around a limit: sharing keys to multiply a rate limit, or opening accounts to re-claim a welcome credit.
- Post someone else's personal data, or content you have no right to publish.
- Present our output as coming from a model or a host that did not produce it.
- Probe, load-test or attack the platform without asking us first.
Hosts have their own rules and they apply on top of ours. A request they refuse is refused, and we pass their reason back to you rather than hiding it behind a generic error.
6. Content you post
The feed is yours. You keep every right you have in what you post; you give us only what we need to store it and show it to the people you posted it for. You can delete a post, and deleting your account erases them all.
You can report a post. We read reports and we may remove content or suspend an account over one. We will not pretend to be faster or more thorough than we are: this is a small platform and moderation is done by hand.
7. Suspension and termination
You can delete your account at any time, from Settings, without asking us. What that does is written in the privacy policy, and it is immediate.
We may suspend an account that breaks section 5, or that we have concrete reason to believe is committing fraud. If we suspend you, we will tell you why, and any balance you paid in remains refundable under the refund policy.
8. What we do not promise
The service is provided as it is. We do not promise a level of availability, that a given model stays in the catalogue, or that an answer is correct, safe or fit for anything in particular. Models are wrong regularly and confidently; treat their output as a draft, not a fact.
To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited, including for death, personal injury, or our own fraud.
9. Changes
We may change these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed. If a change materially reduces your rights, we will tell you before it takes effect, and using the platform after that is how you accept it.
