Refunds

The rule

A refund returns money to the address that paid it in. Not to another address, not to another person, not to a different network. That is what makes it a refund rather than a transfer, and it is enforced in the database, not by a promise.

You can be refunded up to what you paid in, minus what has already been refunded, and never more than your current balance. Tokens you have already spent on inference are gone: the model ran, the host billed us, and there is nothing left to return.

How to ask

The Tokens page has the form. It shows you the ceiling before you type an amount, so you are not guessing. A request in flight can be cancelled by you as long as it has not been paid.

Refunds are paid by hand today. We would rather say that than advertise a delay we have not measured: nobody has ever requested one, so we have no honest number to give you. When we do, this page gets it.

Creator earnings

If you publish a model or an agent and someone calls it, your share is credited to you as it is earned, per call, in the ledger. Asking for it is a payout, not a refund: it is money you earned rather than money you paid in, so the ceiling is what you earned minus what has already been paid out.

What we do not do

We do not convert tokens back to a currency of your choosing, we do not pay a third party on your behalf, and we do not hold money for you. Tokens are prepaid credit for a service, and the only journeys they make are in through a payment and out through a refund to the same address.
